Research Overview

My current research focus is leveraging artificial intelligence in biomechanics, designing medical devices, developing experimental apparatus’ to test vascular tissues, and building AI tools to predict outcomes for patients with certain aneurysms (cerebral and abdominal) and endometriosis. I have purposefully diversified my skillset to tackle to challenging research questions.

Biomedical engineers approach challenges in the medical field with a wide range of skill sets. My past lab, the BioMOST Lab (founded by Professor M.L. Raghavan) has many diverse projects going on at any given time that are computational or experimental. The current lab, the Vascular Bioengineering Laboratory (founded by Professor David A. Vorp) has a focus on regenerative medicine but still has a core in biomechanics.

This website is not meant to be super technical, but I will provide links if there are people who are interested in the nitty-gritty of a given subject.  Research always seems like it is inaccessible like it's some cloud in the sky. I hope to provide a small sample of what 'research' entails and what it means in the biomedical engineering field.

With that said, I have been fortunate to work alongside many individuals with great minds (*didn't want to say super-geniuses to keep them humble -cough cough).
